Col Dennis Kumm

Col Dennis Kumm (Ret) CAP, former NEWG/CC and former commander of National Blue Beret Activity died today, 14 July 2006, in Lincoln, NE.
His burial services will probably be conducted either Monday or Tuesday of next week. Plans are not fully arranged to this moment as to the exact date or time of services. If you need to convey any particular message to Amanda S. Kumm (Daughter).
In November of 2005, Dennis was diagnosed with terminal rectal metastatic cancer.
Dennis was active in Optimist International. He is a retired Colonel in Civil Air Patrol. He is a member of the Air Force Association, and an active member at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He worked in the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office for 9 years, and worked for the State of Nebraska for 12 years.
Dennis has been a Blue Beret for more than 25 years and was the commander at blue beret for the majority of that time, he was the CAP-EAA Liaison Officer for the last several years.
Col Dennis Kumm put allot of hours into blue beret before, during , and after the activity.
Col Kumm is a former Nebraska Wing Commander & the North Central Region (NCR) Commander.
